Featured Event: Rio Grande Dominion Tournament
On Saturday Nov 23, U-Con will host the only officially sanctioned Dominion tournament in Michigan.
Dominion is the award-winning deck construction game by Donald X. Vaccarino. In Dominion, each player starts with an identical, very small deck of cards. In the center of the table is a selection of other cards the players can “buy” as they can afford them. Through their selection of cards to buy, and how they play their hands as they draw them, the players construct their deck on the fly, striving for the most efficient path to the precious victory points by game end. But beware! Most of the victory cards are nigh-useless during the game, so collecting them too early can send your deck into a paralyzing stall.
Prizes will be award to the top finishers, and should Rio Grande hold a World Championship for Dominion in 2014, the U-Con tournament winner will be automatically qualified.
