Attendance and Gratitude

Attendance and Gratitude

To the U-Con community,

Now that U-Con 2025 is in the books, I want to take a moment to share some of the details and moments of the weekend that reflect just how wonderful our community is:

  • This year, we welcomed 901 attendees. U-Con continues to grow!  Check out our past attendance figures for comparison.
  • Speaking of community growth, our registration volunteers gave out so many first-time attendee badge ribbons that we ran out.
  • Our Saturday auction raised $577 (and a turkey!) for the 2025 charity, Food Gatherers. In addition, generous members of our community contributed $715 directly via Food Gatherers’ website. That’s $1292 that will make an impact on food security locally.
  • Our new email list is growing in popularity.  We have over 200 subscribers and sent 19 messages during the convention lead up.  As soon as we have dates for 2026, we will share them via email. Sign up to our mailing list to stay in the loop!
  • Luck was in the air this weekend: the weather held, we had amazing raffle prizes from Restoration Games and Suffety Games, and tickets to events from our Guest of Honor, Bridgett Jeffries, were a prize of their own!
  • Attendees, both longtime and new, shared with staff that U-Con is a uniquely welcoming community and has a positive reputation that extends beyond the region.

Thank you so much to our staff, volunteers, vendors, gamemasters, and attendees for making 2025 a fantastic year. I am excited to see what 2026 holds.

With gratitude,

Veronica Machak
