Happy Virtual U-Con 2020

Today is the day! Hello and welcome! I hope you have an excellent time Friday/Saturday/Sunday and play lots of games! If you haven’t yet signed up for all the games you want to play, there are still tickets available. If you haven’t yet registered, all you need is an email address to to so. If you have registered and want to play more games, you can get the tickets here.

HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH US:

You can connect with staff, gamemasters, and players at our Discord
server (Link to the invitation).  There are channels by “room” and gamemaster last name, as well as a front-desk area.  Ask for help in the channel #front-desk-chat and report issues to the Ops Captains or staff on duty. OPs channels are at the top of the room list.

And again, if you need a quick refresher, here’s the Discord primer:

If you need to contact us for any reason, use either the above Discord
information or the “contact us” form on our website.  We will be closely
monitoring these two communication channels.

HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH EACH OTHER

Or, How do Green Cones work in the virtual world? For those of you not familiar with U-Con’s Green Cone system, there are physical green cones scattered throughout the convention and if your game needed a player you would grab one and put it at your table. If you were a player in search of a game, you would look for a table that had a green cone. We obviously can’t have real green cones so we’ve set up a #boardgames room and an #rpgs room to take the cone’s place. Look for the CHATS area right under Games Library.

Feel free to post here what game you need players for or even if you are looking to do a pick up game. If you want to play a game, also look here for games in want of players or feel free to ask if anyone is playing anything at the moment.

Once you have found each other, pick-up games are free to use the tables in the Games Library section while scheduled games have assigned rooms (you’re GM will list that information).

Have fun and may the gaming begin!
