Honoring Paul Kemezis
Paul Kemezis has been a vital part of our U-Con team for many years. Not only did he design our T-shirt and Conbook art, he coordinated the ordering with vendors, and stepped in to help wherever he was needed with a smile. His work for U-Con highlighted the values of diversity and community and, where the theme allowed, showed us the path to a better world.
Paul was a friend to the U-Con community, and we will miss him.
Paul Kemezis, (2/13/68 – 10/9/2026)
Paul Kemezis, 58, of Saline, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 9, a week after surviving multiple cardiac arrests.
Paul loved to cook for family and friends, and could turn the most basic ingredients into a gourmet meal. An avid traveler and graphic artist, he created many digital tributes to his travels and hobbies. He had a seemingly endless knowledge of any topic and an off-beat sense of humor which will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ann (nee Brant) and Frank Kemezis, and is survived by his wife, Jennifer Roth & son Julian; son Miles Kemezis; sister Amy (Steve) Parlato and nephews, Justin & Micah.
A celebration of life will be held on November 15 in Ypsilanti township. Please contact Jennifer for details.
