Looney Labs Games All Weekend
Looney Labs has produced a multitude of simple, modular, portable, and chaotic board and card games. Arguably the most famous is Fluxx, with its ever-changing rules and multiple themed spin-offs: Zombie Fluxx, Fantasy Fluxx, Star Trek Fluxx, and Family Fluxx to name a few. My personal favorite is Chrononauts, where players collect artifacts from history and try to create specific timelines. Their catalog also includes Seven Dragons, Nanofictionary, Just Desserts, and too many games to list.
This will be Looney Labs second appearance as Guest of Honor at U-Con. Join Andy and Kristin in the board game area all weekend!
Looney Game-A-Thon, Friday 7-11pm in the Ballroom. You can play any Looney Labs game with us. At the end, we will start awarding a bunch of prize medallions to the person who won the most games and the person who just played the most games, in various categories.
PARSEly with Andy Looney, Saturday 8-11pm downstairs in Private Dining. Remember the text adventure computer games from the 1980s? PARSEly games are like that but with Andy Looney as the computer, describing the locations and “parsing” the commands. The group will even decide which “program” to run. Andy has written ten original games that use Jared Sorensen’s PARSEly system, all of which are unpublished and can only be played with Andy in person.
Drop-In Gaming, Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm, or Sunday 10am to 12pm in the Ballroom. Play numerous Looney Labs titles as space allows. You can reserve tickets under the title “Come Game with the Loonies” or show up at table 215.
Their games will be available for sale at the Sylvan Factory booth in the dealer hall.
